Honduran Curly Hair Tarantula Housing
The Honduran Curly Hair Tarantula requires a fairly large enclosure for its size. A 10-12 gallon aquarium or a terrarium with screen lid is suitable. Make sure to provide enough ventilation, as tarantulas are sensitive to humidity. Provide your tarantula with a place to hide, such as a hollow log or cork bark. You can also provide a shallow water dish and a few branches or pieces of wood for it to climb on. The substrate should be at least 2-3 inches deep and should be a mixture of peat moss and top soil or a pre-made tarantula soil mix.

Feeding and Watering
The Honduran Curly Hair Tarantula is an opportunistic feeder, which means it will eat whatever it can catch. In captivity, they should be fed a variety of insects, such as crickets, mealworms, and superworms. Feed your tarantula at least once a week and make sure to remove any uneaten food to prevent mold and bacteria growth. Provide your tarantula with a shallow water dish to keep it hydrated. Change the water every couple of days to keep it clean.
Handling and Safety
The Honduran Curly Hair Tarantula is a docile species and is known to be easy to handle and care for. When handling your tarantula, make sure to use slow, gentle movements and to support its body from underneath. It is best to avoid handling your tarantula as much as possible, as it can be stressful for them. Always make sure to wash your hands before and after handling your tarantula to avoid transferring any germs or bacteria.
